Tour Plan
Day 1: Hanoi

Activities:

Drive from your hotel to Hanoi Railway Station

This evening you will be picked up and  transferred by private car (no guide) to Hanoi Railway Station to board a soft sleep & AC train to Lao Cai (Sharing soft sleeper & AC, carriage cabin of 4 berths on train)
 Overnight on train.

Experience overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa

The overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa is one of the most popular experiences which tourists often seek for when planning a trip to this mountainous destination. Trains operate between Hanoi and Lao Cai station, about 35 km from Sapa. They leave Hanoi at 10pm each day and they take from 7.5 to 8.5 hours to reach Lao Cai. From this station, it is more than another hour of driving to reach Sapa town.

Day 2: Sapa (B/L/D)

Activities:

Admire the Muong Hoa valley, trekking through ethnic villages of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van

At approximately 06:00 we arrive in Lao Cai. Your chauffeur waits with a 45 minutes drive by private car, from Lao Cai Station to Sapa.
Have a local breakfast in the restaurant, then, get ready for trekking.
 Begin your exploration trip to Muong Hoa valley. Follow the main road heading south for about an hour before turning right to a foot path down hill to Muong Hoa Valley. This part offers spectacular scenery of the highest part of Hoang Lien Son mountain range and on a nice day, Fansipan Peak can be seen. Crossing the river by a suspension bridge you will challenge your feet uphill to Y Linh Ho village. Here, pay a visit to some H’mong families, and watch them doing their daily work
After having lunch, the trail continues up and down hill for about 2 hours as you reach Lao Chai, a large village of the H’mong and then follow the river bank to Ta Van of the Zay people. Visiting local homes, and village schools, enjoy your cultural discovery of local ethnic people as well as breathtaking scenery of the Muong Hoa Valley. Settle down in Ta Van village for an overnight home stay.
Have dinner at local homestay .

Trekking in magnificent scenery of Sapa

Get on the night train from Hanoi and welcome to Sapa –  a beautiful northern mountainous highland surrounding by magnificent nature and authentic ethnic minority lives. In Sapa, we will pass by magnificent nature scene and go trekking to remote villages where ethnic minorities live to understand their local real life & custom. The trekking route is pleasant and it is great to capture wonderful photos of fogs, rice terraces, beautiful scenery and daily residents’ life on the way. 

Day 3: Sapa (B/L)

Activities:

Leaving Ta Van village to Giang Ta Chai; Trekking through ethnic villages; Visit Hau Thao village; Back Lao Cai station

Leaving Ta Van village after Breakfast, take the trail uphill, passing fascinating terraced rice fields and some small hamlets of the H’mong before getting through a bamboo forest to a waterfall. Enjoy a break for some magnificent scenery and then continue walking for half an hour to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zao people, which sits on the top of a hill and looks down Muong Hoa river.
 After spending time visiting the village, making friends with the Zao and experiencing the hospitality, cross the river by another suspension bridge and then go uphill again to Hau Thao village. Visit a local handicraft center where H’mong and Zao women gather to exchange experience and skills of making handicrafts. A late lunch will be prepared nearby this center and then you have time to relax and prepare before heading back Lao Cai station for overnight train journey back to Hanoi.

Hike to explore Giang Ta Chai Village

Giang Ta Chai village is home to the Red Dzao who wear plain black trousers and a long black tunic with embroidered cuffs and lapels. To trek to Giang Ta Chai, you will set off on an 18km trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forest and stunning waterfalls. Red Zao minority people are the second biggest group of hill minority people in Sapa in Vietnam. Day 4: Hanoi

Activities:

Drive from Hanoi Railway Station to your hotel at Old Quater

This early morning you will arrive in Hanoi Railway Station. Check out of the cabin. Our driver ( no guide) welcome you again and transfer you to your hotel, the tour ends.
