“The return of Angkor as Capital – 950 to 1000 AD”

After an early breakfast, you will meet your guide to drive out through the countryside to visit Preah Rup and East Mebon, en route to the stunningly exquisite Banteay Srey, all of which were constructed between 950 and 1000 AD. From the road, your guide will point out the Kulen Mountains in the distance, where sandstone was quarried hundreds of years ago.  You will then return to Siem Reap where you can rest and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
