With time permitting, there will be a tour of the city which will include the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the National Museum and Wat Phnom Pagoda. The Silver Pagoda (also known as the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha) is named after the statue housed therein and which was created by King Norodom in 1892.  The floor is comprised of more than 5,000 silver blocks, weighing a total of 6 tons. The National Museum was built in the Khmer style in the 1920’s and has an extensive collection of Khmer art. The highlight of the exhibit is a 6th Century bronze figure of the Hindu god Vishnu.
